Through the Personalized Learning department's Innovation in Teaching (IiT) Fellowship, 30 educators from across the district have used Design Thinking to create classrooms with a more student-centered approach to teaching and learning. At the upcoming IiT Showcase, fellows will celebrate and share their work with the community, from "failing-forward" to breakthrough moments and hard-earned success.

"The fellowship program helped me internalize empathy to deepen my understanding of students' interests," said Jesse Poff-Hancock, a 4th grade math and science teacher at Casa View Elementary School. "I was hooked on blended learning the minute we learned about it, and I have seen its success in my classroom throughout the year."
