A family literacy fair hosted by the Margaret and Gilbert Herrera Student Intake Center focused on strengthening literacy skills for student grades K–12. Families are invited to participate in grade level appropriate activities that foster family literacy. The Journey into Reading Family Literacy Fair will focus on the literacy skills of literacy genres across various grade levels. Parents will learn age appropriate activities for the home that will help strengthen these skills for their students. All students participating will receive a free book and a copy of every activity performed with the family.
